Tulip Days

This week here in Western Washington has been beautiful, and today is no exception.  There is barely a cloud in the sky and it is close to 70 degrees out.

Michael and I took the opportunity to take a drive up to the Skagit Valley to check out the tulip fields.  We had heard the tulips were blooming, but not so much.  Actually, the daffodil fields were quite lovely.  The daffodils were in full bloom in the roadside fields.  The tulips could be seen just starting to open.

We did go into the garden at RoozenGarde.  The gardens were beautiful.

On April first the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival starts.  I do recommend taking the time to go if you are in the area.image
